Description
The MF6900A Fading Simulator connects to the MD8430A Signalling Tester via a dedicated digital interface to easily simulate an LTE base station and run fading simulation tests required by 3GPP LTE 2×2 MIMO and 4×2 MIMO tests.
It supports all fading propagation tests defined by 3GPP TS36.521 and uses full digital baseband processing to assure fading processing with high reproducibility at the same settings, while greatly simplifying difficult MIMO power control and achieving high accuracy.
One MF6900A unit supports both LTE 2×2 MIMO 2-cell as well as 4×2 MIMO tests and combination with the MD8430A Signalling Tester with LTE support makes it easy to configure an LTE 2×2 MIMO system for handover tests. In addition, LTE/W-CDMA inter-system handover tests are supported by connection with the MD8480C Signalling Tester with W-CDMA option.
